CALL TO WORSHIP:
To You LORD, we call
   Do not turn a deaf ear towards us
Hear our cries to You, O LORD. Cries for mercy and for help.
   We lift up our hands to the Most Holy One.
The LORD is the strength of His people.
   The LORD as the fortress of our salvation, He is the Shepherd
   who will carry us forever.
Come, now is the time to worship our Great God and King!
*Hymn  “O Beautiful for Spacious Skies” # 338
(verses 1 & 3)
* PRAYER OF CONFESSION:  ( A prayer by Martin Luther)
Behold, Lord, I am an empty vessel that needs to be filled.
My Lord, fill it.  I am weak in faith; Strengthen me, I am cold in love;
Warm me and make me fervent that my love may go out to my neighbor,
I do not have strong and firm faith; at times I doubt and am unable to trust You altogether, O Lord, help me. Strengthen my faith and trust in Thee.  In You I have sealed the treasures of all I have. I am poor; You are rich and came to be merciful to the poor.  I am a sinner, You are upright. With me there is an abundance of sin; In You is the fullness of righteousness. Help and forgive me, O Lord, for my only hope is in You.  Amen

Prelude: Ron Dobscha

ANNOUNCEMENTS;

CALL TO WORSHIP: Psalm (108)
Today we gather to exalt the name of God. Who is above the heavens,
His glory is over all the earth.
Vain is the salvation that comes from human things. Our help is
in God alone.
We will sing with all our being and praise our God.
His steadfast love is great above the heavens; His faithfulness
reaches to the clouds.
O come, let us adore Him. The one who delivers and gives salvation to
His people.
*Hymn “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing” (verse 1) # 475
* PRAYER OF CONFESSION: ( A prayer of John Calvin)
Almighty God, since You delay with so much patience the punishments
which we have deserved and daily draw on ourselves, grant that we may
not indulge ourselves but carefully consider how often and in how many
different ways we have provoked Your wrath against us. May we learn
humbly to present ourselves to You for pardon, and with true repentance
come to You for mercy. With all our heart we desire to submit ourselves
to You, whether You allow for our suffering, or according to Your infinite
goodness, forgive us. Let our condition be ever blessed, not by
flattering ourselves in our apathy, but by finding You to be our kind and
bountiful Father, reconciled us in Your only begotten Son. Amen

ANNOUNCEMENTS;

CALL TO WORSHIP: (Psalm143)
 LORD, in Your faithfulness and righteousness come to our relief.
   Do not bring us into judgement. Remember Your righteousness
   and not our unrighteousness.
When our spirit grows faint and our hearts are dismayed
Help us to meditate on Your works and consider what Your hands     have done.
Show us the way we should go.
   We trust our lives to You.
Teach us to do Your will.
All: May Your good Spirit lead us on level ground.
*Hymn  “”Love Divine, All Love Excelling (verses 1&2) # 366

* PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
Loving God, we confess that we have stifled Your Spirit within us. You have sent us the Spirit of love, but we have preferred to hate those who oppose us. You have sent us the Spirit of joy, but we have taken Your gifts for granted and been ungrateful. You have sent us the Spirit of peace, but we have allowed our selfishness to cause division and disharmony. You have sent us the Spirit of patience, but we have been worried and anxious when we have not seen immediate results from our efforts, or evidence of Your love. You have sent us the Spirit of kindness, but we have been indifferent to other people’s needs. You have sent us the Spirit of goodness, but through thoughtlessness, as well as our deliberate wrongdoing, we have sinned. You have sent us the Spirit of faithfulness, but we have been fickle in our resolve, unreliable disciples of Jesus. You have sent us the Spirit of gentleness, but we have been insensitive to the feelings of others. You have sent us the Spirit of self-control, but we have lived recklessly, without disciplining ourselves.  Forgive us, merciful God. Teach us how much we need the power of Your Spirit in our lives; and breathe new life into us; for Your glory and the sake of the Gospel’s proclamation. Amen.

CALL TO WORSHIP: (Psalm 16)
 O God in You we take our refuge!  You are our safety, in Your loving embrace we find all our needs met and our hopes are born.
   You are our Lord, apart from You we have no good things!
Those who chase after other gods, who look to anything other than You have not known the peace that our God brings.
We could have all the riches in the world and still it is You that is    our portion and our cup!
You make known to us the path of life. You fill us with joy in Your presence.  Praise God today for His wonderful deeds!

Merciful Father, You know all things about Your children. Prelude: Ron Dobscha
ANNOUNCEMENTS;

CALL TO WORSHIP:
Praise be to You, O LORD, God of our Father Israel from everlasting to everlasting.
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and     majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is Yours.
Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom, You are exalted as head overall.
   Wealth and honor come from You; You are the ruler of all things.
In Your hand are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.
Now, our God, we give You thanks and praise Your glorious name.
*Hymn  “Open My Eyes That I May See” # 451

* PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
Lord, in Your mercy hear our prayer.  We confess that it is still all too easy for us to sacrifice our convictions for convenience, Your standards for status, Your principles for promotion, Your absolutes for our ambition, our souls for shallow and unsatisfying success. How easily we are seduced by power, prestige, pleasure, or possessions---seduced into violating our integrity or harming our fellowship with You.  From earth’s fullest bliss we turn to You again, unfulfilled.  Forgive us our half-hearted devotion and our double-minded spirit.  In the name of Him who refused to save Himself we pray. Amen.

* PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
O most great, most just and gracious God; You are of purer eyes than
to behold iniquity; but You have promised mercy through Jesus Christ to all who repent and believe in Him. Therefore we confess that we are sinful by nature and that we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God.
We have dealt unjustly and uncharitably with our neighbors,  We have not sought first Your kingdom and righteousness. We have not been content with our daily bread. You have revealed Your wonderful love to us in Christ and offered us pardon and salvation in Him; but we have turned away. We have run into temptation; and the sin that we should have hated, Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father! We confess You alone are our hope. Make us Your children and give us the Spirit of Your Son, our only Savior. Amen
