CALL TO WORSHIP:
God gives us eternal life. Even when we doubt or fear over this gift of salvation, God encourages us and gives us confidence.
   Even when we are drawn to believe what isn’t true, God restores our understanding.
God hears us when we pray.
   We have confidence that God doesn’t forever turn us away even when we turn from Him.
The Son of God has come so that we may know Him who is true, and we are in Him who is true.  We are His and eternal life is ours.
Praise be to God!

* PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
Heavenly Farther, You teach us that no-one born of You, continues to sin. Yet we do. We sin in small ways and in great ways throughout our lives. We have been set free by the power of Your Holy Spirit and yet the power of the evil one still pulls us in different directions. You are our Father, we are Your children yet we act in disobedience every day.  Forgive us for the many ways we have turned from You. Have mercy on us and extend Your grace to us that calls us back from sin. Give us new hearts that fully commit to You. Keep us from temptation and the desire to be wayward.  Amen
