Prelude: Ron Dobscha
ANNOUNCEMENTS: CALL TO WORSHIP: God makes plans for us; He wills for us. In a world of confusion and endless roads available to us, He makes the path straight. The way of the Lord is good. He makes us prosper, leads us to life, refreshes our weary souls and bodies. God’s ways are higher than ours. We reject self-sufficiency, we refuse to do things our own way, instead God’s faithfulness and steadfast love are written on our hearts. We trust in the Lord with all of our heart. Come now to worship Him, the giver and sustainer of our lives. INVOCATION:
* HYMN “Blessed Assurance, Jesus Is Mine!” # 839
* PRAYER OF CONFESSION: (Unison) Heavenly Father, You call us to turn from our own ideas of living and the paths the world deems common and right to follow You instead. You are the guide that makes straight a path through the troubles of life and yet in our stubbornness we think we ought to be in control. We trust in ourselves instead of trusting in You. Instead of binding Your commands to us, we tie them loosely. Forgive us for seeking to serve ourselves instead of serving You and our neighbors. Restore us to straight paths that lead to life and give us new hearts that never want to stray from them. Amen * Time of silent prayer *Assurance of Pardon *Response – Gloria Patri #581 *Passing of the peace Children’s Chat Prayer for Illumination Scripture reading: Psalm 20 Diana Donaldson Sermon Text: Proverbs 3: 1-8 *HYMN “Spirit, Spirit of Gentleness” # 291 *Apostles Creed Presentation of our tithes and offering Offertory *Doxology *Prayer of dedication Concerns and Celebrations Prayers of the People The Lord’s Prayer INVOCATION: *Hymn “When Peace Like A River” # 840 *Benediction Postlude: Ron Dobscha

We plan to have a weeklong series of events in May 2025 to celebrate. We also plan to have a yearlong service campaign. If you are interested in planning details, decorating, gathering church history, fundraising, or anything else, we would love to have you join us. Meeting dates will be announced on Sundays – please attend – your input will be greatly appreciated. It would be great if the Women’s Missionary, WOW, VBS, etc. participate by creating displays showing all of their contributions to making NBC the church that it is.
