Good morning!

Holy One, you are our comfort and strength
in times of sudden disaster, crisis, or chaos. Surround us now with your grace and peace through storm or earthquake, fire or flood. By your Spirit, lift up those who have fallen, sustain those who work to rescue or rebuild, and fill us with the hope of your new creation; through You, our rock and redeemer. Amen
Today's lesson is on Romans 6:1-14.

Easter Worship
Prelude Music Director Robert Senay Announcements Choral Introit “Come Christians Join to Sing” CALL TO WORSHIP He is Risen! He is Risen indeed! Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen indeed! He was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him. And by His wounds---by His stripes---we are healed. He died for the sins of each one of us here. But He no longer is in the grave; He has risen from the dead! Christ the Lord is Risen today! Up from the grave He Arose! He Is Risen! Christ Arose! Hallelujah! He is Risen indeed!
Good morning!
Happy Easter!

Today’s lesson is on the resurrection account in Matthew 28:1-10. It is about how two women went to Jesus’s tomb in order to prepare his body. It is about the encounter they had with an angel there and with Jesus as they were returning to tell the disciples what they had seen and heard. The lesson is also about how Christ’s resurrection was and is the pivotal moment for the world and for each of us as Christ’s followers. The following prayer was written by Liz Curtis Higgs and posted on the website crosswalk.com:
Dear God, thank You for the resurrection of Your Son, Jesus. We want to celebrate Him every day of our lives. In a world that grows increasingly dark, help us hold up His light. Give us the courage to speak as boldly as Mary Magdalene did, and never be ashamed of proclaiming Your Good News. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
This week's lesson is on Matthew 28:1-10.
Our shared Good Friday Service was held at Upper Buffalo.
Special music was provided by Sue Ann Armstrong, flute, and Toni Sears, piano.
Tenebrae, from the Latin word for "shadows," has been observed in the church of Jesus Christ since the fourth century on Maundy Thursday or Good Friday. During the service, different readers will recall the events that led Jesus to the cross, and we will extinguish fourteen candles, one by one, dramatizing the suffering and death of Jesus. The diminishing light symbolizes the fading devotion of the disciples and the sin of the world. At the end of the service the sanctuary will be dark. During the service, the chimes will toll thirty-three times to signal Jesus' thirty-three years. The Christ candle will then return, symbolizing the hope of his promised resurrection. At the conclusion of the service, please leave silently, contemplating Christ's crucifixion. Jesus, the Son of God, was dead.
Today’s guest speaker is Rev. Dave Mason.

Good Morning!
Happy Palm Sunday! We're so glad you're joining us today!
When we meet in person, we share our joys and concerns together. Take some time to think about the past week, and any prayer requests you may have. If you would like, you can share them in the comments. When you are ready, use the prayer below, based on a prayer from crosswalk.com, to get started.
Father,
Palm Sunday is here, and the past two years has brought tumultuous times and flashes of fear that none of us have experienced in our lifetimes. The very real fallen state of our world and frailty of life have been put front and center in our lives in a visceral way. We look to you, Father, to guide us out of our fear and remind us of our Savior. We do not need to be afraid. You have given us the wisdom we need to live each day of our lives to the full purpose You have designed for us to live. Amen.
Today's lesson is on Matthew 26:17-30.
