Prelude:     Ron Dobscha
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Mother’s Day Program

CALL TO WORSHIP:  (Psalm 63)
You, O God are our God. Earnestly we seek You.
We thirst for You, our whole being belongs to You.
Your love is better than life!
We will praise You as long as we live. With our mouths we will
   glorify You.
We will rejoice in God.
All:  Your hand, O God upholds us.

*Hymn  “Faith of Our Father’s (Mothers)   1 verse (see insert)
* PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
O most great, most just and gracious God; You are of purer eyes than
to behold iniquity; but You have promised mercy through Jesus Christ to all who repent and believe in Him. Therefore we confess that we are sinful by nature and that we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God.
We have dealt unjustly and uncharitably with our neighbors,  We have not sought first Your kingdom and righteousness. We have not been content with our daily bread. You have revealed Your wonderful love to us in Christ and offered us pardon and salvation in Him; but we have turned away. We have run into temptation; and the sin that we should have hated, Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father! We confess You alone are our hope. Make us Your children and give us the Spirit of Your Son, our only Savior. Amen

CALL TO WORSHIP:  (Psalm 57)
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, let your glory be over all the earth!
We will praise You, we will sing and make music to You, O God.
We come today taking refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
Great is Your love!  It reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness    reaches to the skies!
Be exalted, O God! Heaven and earth sing Your praises and we will too as we come to worship.
*Hymn  “Praise Ye the Lord, the Almighty” # 35
* PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
Heavenly Father, You have called us to a great hope and purpose.  You
have invited us to abide in You in every season.  However, we allow
distractions to drag us away from Your presence.  Instead of turning to
You, we indulge our worries, frustrations, and disappointments.  Forgive us when we seek shelter in our own comfort and control.  Teach us again to trust You, O God, our Protector and Provider.  In Jesus’ name we pray.
AMEN

Prelude:         Ron Dobscha
 ANNOUNCEMENTS:

CALL TO WORSHIP: (Psalm 8)
How majestic is our LORD? In all the earth, His majesty is declared.
In the heavens or on earth, His glory is seen.  From all His
   creation He receives praise.
When we think of all Your wonders, how You hang the stars and
moon, how You set everything in place, who are we that You should
care for us?
Out of Your great love and care for us, You have crowned us
   with glory and honor.
LORD, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! Come
now and give Him the worship worthy of His name!
INVOCATION

* PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
Search us, O God, and know our heart; try us and know our thoughts.
See where there is darkness and sin and lead us in the way that leads to real abundant life. Holy and Merciful God, we confess to You and to one
another that we have sinned against You. We have sinned in thought,
word, and deed by what we have done and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved You with our whole heart, mind, body and soul.  We
Have not loved our neighbors as ourself. Accept our prayers of repentance oh God. Know that we are sorry for choosing a path that ultimately hurts Your heart and kills ours.  Amen

Gathering Around the Word

Prelude:      Choir
ANNOUNCEMENTS:

CALL TO WORSHIP:
May Christ be exalted
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all
  creation
For Him and by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible.
We rely on His sustaining power
He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
He is the head of the church and in Him the fullness of God
  does dwell.
Today, as we come together to worship, may we remember and
reflect upon the supremacy of Christ, who is our Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer.  Let us offer our praise and adoration to Him who holds all things together and who has reconciled us to God.   Amen

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Father, we confess that we have built many idols in our lives.  We say that we will follow You alone and yet we are often drawn away by the world’s allure of immediate satisfaction and pleasure.  We haven’t always been good stewards of our time, money, or energy.  Instead of being a people focused on the well-being of others and Your glory, we have so often thought only of ourselves.  Have mercy on us. Remind us that we serve a jealous God who desires our full affection.  Yet even in our sin, encourage us of the coming day when sin and evil will be no more.  Amen.

Today's guest speaker is Rev. Renny Domske.
                    Gathering Around the Word
Prelude
ANNOUNCEMENTS

CALL TO WORSHIP:      from Psalm 35
My soul will rejoice in the Lord and delight in His salvation.
My whole being will exclaim,” Who is like You, O Lord?”
You rescue the poor from those too strong for them,
You rescue the poor and needy from those who rob them.
Contend for me, my God and Lord.
Vindicate me in Your righteousness, O Lord my God.
     May all who gloat over my distress be put to shame;
May all who exalt themselves over me to disgraced.
May those who delight in You shout for joy and gladness.
“The Lord delights in the well-being of His servant.”
My tongue will speak of Your righteousness:
My tongue will lift Your praise all day long.

Our biggest sin is not acknowledging Your Presence knowing
You are with us every step of our lives.  We are sorry that too
often we only think of You when we are in need, when we are
hurting, when we are in trouble.  We think too often of ourselves
and too little about the One who Created us.

Help us to turn our eyes to You, not ourselves.  You are our
Lord and Savior.  Thank you for never deserting us.
