Hymn: Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
Call to Worship God is like a gentle shepherd, leading us beyond our wants. He leads us beyond our fears and brings us to a place of rest. It is here that we hear the music of God's great love. It gives us new strength to walk through the valleys and shadows of life that can sometimes be a scary place.
Call to Confession
It is in our confession that we realize our desires for God and our hope for God’s mercy. It is in admitting the truth of our lives that we take the first step toward wholeness and healing. So let us make our confession this day. Prayer of Confession Gracious Spirit, give us the courage to look deep, to listen to the murmurs of the soul and to find the truths that bring life and hope. Forgive us for our hurt that bruises our inner wisdom and our worry that blocks your grace. Restore our inner sight that allows us to see your presence in the common events of life, the ordinary experiences of living. O God, hear us. Loving God, heal each of us and this great country that we have the privilege to live in. Time of Personal Reflection Assurance of Pardon In Christ there is no east or west, In him no south or north, But one great fellowship of love throughout the whole wide earth. In Jesus Christ, there is new life. In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Hymn: The Family of God Apostle's Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. On the third day he arose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father almighty. From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
