Hymn: In Christ There is No East or West
Call to Worship Praise the Lord, all ye nations, extol him and praise his name. For great is his steadfast love that is given to each of us this day. The great faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. For the Lord has comforted his people and will have compassion on each of them. I was glad when they said to me, let us go to the house of the Lord. On this Sabbath mornings let us praise the Lord.
Prayer of Confession
On the shores of our lives, Oh God, you beckon us to follow you through the many intersections of our lives. You invite us to leave our comfortable boats and journey in mission with you. Yet we hear your call differently. Some of us are too busy to really listen to you. Some of want a different assignment; we can't believe that you would ask this of us. Some of us think that we are not worthy or have nothing to offer. While some of us are not ready to risk following you as we are not trusting. On the shores of our lives you beckon and call us. We may not know success but we will surely know great love and peace in the arms of a loving God. We ask all these things on this Sabbath morning in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. Time of Personal Reflection Assurance of Pardon In Christ there is no east or west, In him no south or north, But one great fellowship of love throughout the whole wide earth. In Jesus Christ, there is new life. In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Hymn: Wonderful Words of Life Apostle's Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. On the third day he arose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father almighty. From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
