Mason HYMN “Open My Eyes That I May See” 486 CALL TO CONFESSION Our faith calls us to break down walls and to live our lives courageously so that others might know who we are by our love. For the times when we have been less than faithful disciples, we offer now our prayer: PRAYER OF CONFESSION (UNISON) Forgiving Christ, our lives of faith have become confused. We long to see you for ourselves, yet settle for what others say about you. We cry out in the midst of pain or sadness, yet do not act boldly when we are made well. We ask for forgiveness, yet fail to live out your mercy in our repentance. Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on us. Give us the strength not only to feel but do, not only to think but speak and to see what we need to see in ourselves. May we be made well in our faith, that we might follow you more closely. In your name, we pray. Amen. *Time of silent prayer. Assurance of Pardon Hear the Good News! In Jesus Christ, our sins are forgiven!
