Hymn: Take My Life and Let it Be
Call to Worship
The Lord is King! Let the people tremble. He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake. The Lord is great in Zion, He is exulted over all the peoples. Let them praise your great and awesome name. Holy is He. Mighty King, lover of justice, you have established equality; you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob. Extol the Lord our God: worship at his footstool. Holy is He. Psalm 99. Invocation Holy God, Spirit of love, come from the four corners and renew us. Chase away our doubts and light a fire in our words and deeds. Holy God, Fire and Dove, come to your church, enflame our compassion, enlarge our witness and stretch our hospitality. Holy God, Breath of Joy, renew our worship, touch our hearts, bring us peace. Amen. Prayer of Confession Amazing God, there is more to life than we can see or fathom, yet how often we try to shrink the mystery, tame the dream, limit what is possible. Remind us that the spirit is always blowing new life into our days, surprising us with wonder and blessing. Forgive us for dull awareness and hesitant witness. Let us be made new again and again no matter what age we are. And let us hear again and again of your love that came to us in Jesus that we might have eternal life. Amen. Time of Personal Reflection Assurance of Pardon In Christ there is no east or west, In him no south or north, But one great fellowship of love throughout the whole wide earth. In Jesus Christ, there is new life. In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Hymn: Holy, Holy Holy! Lord God Almighty Apostle's Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. On the third day he arose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father almighty. From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. Church Joys and Concerns
If you have a joy or concern to share that is not listed below, and you feel comfortable doing so, you may share it in the comments. Added to the prayer list this week was Jim Colbert who fell from a ladder and hit his head on cement floor. Taken to Montefoire Hospital, it is reported he had no broken bones. He did have some bleeding on the brain but after rechecking it is clearing up so it was caused by the impact of the hit. He should get home soon. Also added this week is Shirley Richman. She will be having surgery next Wednesday. We were able to take Monique Tiaby and Trevor Baker off the prayer as they both have improved. Sympathy to the family of Gaylord Grimes, Becky Phillips' brother This week's birthdays 19 Ruth Hampe, Rick McFeely 21 Michael Durila, Jr This week's anniversaries 20 Grant and Amy Molinaro Continuing Prayer List
Pastoral Prayer and the Lord's Prayer
Hymn: Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee Charge and Benediction Lord God, you have given us words of mercy, words of peace and truth. Teach us words of mercy, that we may not judge; words of truth, that we may not be deceived by propaganda of condemnation, and love those around us wherever we go. Speak, Lord, your servants are listening. Amen.
We're so glad you were able to join us today. We enjoyed listening to Rev. Mason.
