Hymn: I Surrender All
Call to Worship God calls us to give an account of our lives. We stand in the presence of the Judge of all people. God asks us to declare our allegiance. We are followers of God through Jesus Christ. God requires that we are not followers in name only but in deeds. We offer the simplicity of our lives as signs of our devotion to God and not to wealth.
Prayer of Confession
You have called us, O God, to follow your Son Jesus of Nazareth. We have not willingly followed his example of being a servant to all. We find it hard to serve even those we love. We are more apt to seek revenge on those who hurt us rather than to serve and care for them. Forgive us by the power of your Holy Spirit and fill us with the love of Jesus that we may follow in his footsteps and serve all we encounter. We ask it all in Jesus' name. Amen. Time of Personal Reflection Assurance of Pardon In Christ there is no east or west, In him no south or north, But one great fellowship of love throughout the whole wide earth. In Jesus Christ, there is new life. In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Hymn: O Master, Let Me Walk With Thee Apostle's Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. On the third day he arose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father almighty. From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
