Hymn: I Love Your Kingdom Lord
Call to Worship Jesus comes among us today to bless us. We bow in humble worship of our Savior. He comes to bless us all regardless of our social standing. We acknowledge that we are not always worthy of your great love. Lord, we know that we are all different and we honor each other as we offer our gifts and talents. On this summer morning, let us pour out the sweet smell of praise to our God. May we honestly examine our lives so that we can become all that God created us to be.
Prayer of Confession
We confess to you, Oh God, that we are too easily content with the little that we accomplish. We think if we are reasonably good people or, at least, better than the worst, that we should be satisfied. You call us to perfection. You call us into the likeness of your Son Jesus Christ. Help us not to settle for "good enough" but to run the race with confidence toward the goal of finding in you our complete salvation. Time of Personal Reflection Assurance of Pardon In Christ there is no east or west, In him no south or north, But one great fellowship of love throughout the whole wide earth. In Jesus Christ, there is new life. In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Hymn: It Is No Secret Apostle's Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. On the third day he arose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father almighty. From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
