INVOCATION

HYMN:                                  “Because He Lives”                                              #292
CALL TO CONFESSION
PRAYER OF CONFESSION:                                                                            (Unison)
O God, whose Spirit searches all things and whose love bears all things, we would draw near to you in sincerity, but we sometimes doubt our ability to do so. Enable us to lay aside our fear and deal with the insecurities that prevent us from serving you as we should. We pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON:
God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever would believe in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. God sent his son into the world not to condemn the world, but that through him, the world might be saved. Friends, this is Good News! In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Alleluia! Amen.

Scripture Reading:                                John 17:6-19
Jesus Prays for His Disciples
6 “I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. 7 Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8 For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. 9 I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. 10 All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. 11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. 12 While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.

13 “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
L: The Word of the Lord
           P: Thanks be to God!

JOYS AND CONCERNS

We are able to remove Chuck Montecello from the prayer list as he has been released from heart doctor and kidney specialist.  He is now able to drive and wants to thank everyone for their prayers.  Thanks be to God!  We were also able to remove Marge Shape from the ongoing prayer list after a siege of coronavirus.  Also Dana Wilson’s report from the doctor on Wednesday was good; the radiation treatment worked and we can remove his name from the ongoing prayer list as well.  Thanks for all the prayers!

Doug Ward has been transferred to Presbyterian Sr. Care for therapy with his new knee.  Please pray for no infection to set in and the therapy will build up his strength.  We added John Miller to our prayer list this past week, he was admitted to Washington Hospital with double pneumonia in his lungs.  They started him on steroid therapy and sent him home.  Prayers for Lois as well as they both have been in isolation for COVID.  Jim Kuhn was admitted to Washington Hospital on Thursdays for tests.

Continued prayers for Susan Schively, Melissa Pedigo, Aaron Blake, Lisa Phillips, Dixie Avoila, Chuck Dicks, Randy Moore, Karen Eisiminger, Kelley Gump, Ed Horne, June and Keith McGill,  Glenn Miles,  Roger Riggs, Doug Ward, Rick McFeeley, Deron Wood, Marge McWreath, Tim Knabenshue, Bill Stewart, Adam Moore, Cris Miller, Frank Huffman,  Nellie and Frank Baker, Michael Durila, Jr., Michael Durila Sr., Justin Hagon, Marlene Huffman, Betty Matthews, Susan West,  Leroy Shaler and Cody Patrick.

BENEDICTION
Peace be with you. As the Father sent me, even so I send you ... to heal those who are sick and dying, to befriend the friendless in Jesus' name, to tell of God's love. As you go, remember that the peace of God is with you, and the power of the Holy Spirit will uphold and direct you because you are the Easter people. Amen.
