PRAYER OF CONFESSION:  (unison) 
O God, we confess that we have not been eager to seek Your face or to know Your truth beyond human thought,  
that we have not counted Your grace in our lives each day,  
that we are often content with dependence on ourselves, and that we keep ourselves occupied with many other things before we remember Your power and ready help to all who call on Your name with a pure heart.  
Make us thirsty for You, God, both now and in the larger life beyond, and forgive us for our sins through Jesus Christ our Lord.
