Merciful and just God, I open my heart to You as a means to make me hate the sins confessed.  I confess to the indulgence in my flesh, to times of not being truthful, to uncharitable habits.  I confess to taking the wrong path at times, to allowing evil thoughts to stay in my mind.  I confess to lack of love for the neighbor,  to taking a wrong path, to going my own way.  God, let me feel Your h.`and guiding my life, freeing me from the grip of bad habits, to make me pure in heart, and let Christ be formed in me through faith and goodness all the days of my life.  I ask 
for all of this in Your Holy Name.  Amen.
