We are but humans, our days on the earth are like a shadow. Who are we that the LORD regards us? That the LORD would think of us? Blessed are we to whom such wonderful blessings fall! Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD! Come now and Worship our great God. INVOCATION:

* PRAYER OF CONFESSION: (Unison) Heavenly Father, You have called us to a great hope and purpose. You have invited us to cling to You in every season. Forgive us when we seek shelter in our own comfort and control. Teach us again to trust You, O God, our protector. Bring us out of our distress, O God, our deliverer. Grant us the ability to build our lives on the firm foundation of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. * PRAYER OF CONFESSION: (Unison) Heavenly Father, we know that Your plans and your will are often contrary to the things we want. We are a people who want things to happen now, we enjoy immediate satisfaction but as we study Your word we see that Your will unfolds in many ways. Sometimes Your will is accomplished through blessings and results in our happiness, sometimes Your will is accomplished through trails and long suffering. In those moments, we are quick to turn from You and forsake You. We are quick to forget that our God is good and His ways are higher than ours. Forgive us for being people quick to turn from You when times are hard. Forgive us for not trusting in You and all Your ways. Give us renewed hearts given fully to You. * PRAYER OF CONFESSION: (Unison) Lord, we confess today that our thankfulness and obedience often extend only as far as things are easy and comfortable for us. When we are happy and things are good, we are quick to follow You. When things get hard though and we get comfortable, we return to the same sins that we regularly confess. Our willingness to love others and to love You is too often dependent on our circumstances. Forgive us for having a devotion to You that changes throughout the seasons of our lives.
