ANNOUNCEMENTS; CALL TO WORSHIP: Psalm (108) Today we gather to exalt the name of God. Who is above the heavens, His glory is over all the earth. Vain is the salvation that comes from human things. Our help is in God alone. We will sing with all our being and praise our God. His steadfast love is great above the heavens; His faithfulness reaches to the clouds. O come, let us adore Him. The one who delivers and gives salvation to His people.

* PRAYER OF CONFESSION: ( A prayer of John Calvin) Almighty God, since You delay with so much patience the punishments which we have deserved and daily draw on ourselves, grant that we may not indulge ourselves but carefully consider how often and in how many different ways we have provoked Your wrath against us. May we learn humbly to present ourselves to You for pardon, and with true repentance come to You for mercy. With all our heart we desire to submit ourselves to You, whether You allow for our suffering, or according to Your infinite goodness, forgive us. CALL TO WORSHIP: (Psalm143) LORD, in Your faithfulness and righteousness come to our relief. Do not bring us into judgement. Remember Your righteousness and not our unrighteousness. When our spirit grows faint and our hearts are dismayed Help us to meditate on Your works and consider what Your hands have done. Show us the way we should go. We trust our lives to You. * PRAYER OF CONFESSION: Loving God, we confess that we have stifled Your Spirit within us. You have sent us the Spirit of love, but we have preferred to hate those who oppose us. You have sent us the Spirit of joy, but we have taken Your gifts for granted and been ungrateful. You have sent us the Spirit of peace, but we have allowed our selfishness to cause division and disharmony. You have sent us the Spirit of patience, but we have been worried and anxious when we have not seen immediate results from our efforts, or evidence of Your love.
