Prelude: Ron Dobscha
ANNOUNCEMENTS; CALL TO WORSHIP: Praise be to You, O LORD, God of our Father Israel from everlasting to everlasting. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is Yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom, You are exalted as head overall. Wealth and honor come from You; You are the ruler of all things. In Your hand are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give You thanks and praise Your glorious name.
*Hymn “Open My Eyes That I May See” # 451
* PRAYER OF CONFESSION: Lord, in Your mercy hear our prayer. We confess that it is still all too easy for us to sacrifice our convictions for convenience, Your standards for status, Your principles for promotion, Your absolutes for our ambition, our souls for shallow and unsatisfying success. How easily we are seduced by power, prestige, pleasure, or possessions---seduced into violating our integrity or harming our fellowship with You. From earth’s fullest bliss we turn to You again, unfulfilled. Forgive us our half-hearted devotion and our double-minded spirit. In the name of Him who refused to save Himself we pray. Amen. *Time of silent prayer *Assurance of Pardon *Response – Gloria Patri # 581 *Passing of the peace Children’s Chat Prayer for Illumination Scripture reading: Daniel 3 Sermon: “Blaze of Glory” *Hymn “Lead On, O King Eternal!” # 269 *Apostles Creed (on back of Joys & Concerns) Presentation of our titles and offering Offertory *Doxology # 606 *Prayer of dedication Concerns and celebrations Prayers of the people The Lord’s Prayer *Hymn “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee” # 337 Benediction Postlude Ron Dobscha

* PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
O most great, most just and gracious God; You are of purer eyes than to behold iniquity; but You have promised mercy through Jesus Christ to all who repent and believe in Him. Therefore we confess that we are sinful by nature and that we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. We have dealt unjustly and uncharitably with our neighbors, We have not sought first Your kingdom and righteousness. We have not been content with our daily bread. You have revealed Your wonderful love to us in Christ and offered us pardon and salvation in Him; but we have turned away. We have run into temptation; and the sin that we should have hated, Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father! We confess You alone are our hope. Make us Your children and give us the Spirit of Your Son, our only Savior.
