ANNOUNCEMENTS: CALL TO WORSHIP: (Psalm 4) When we call out, it is You, righteous God, who hears us. When we are in distress it is You who gives us relief, it is You who has mercy on us. Trust in the LORD! You give us peace so that we can find rest. You alone LORD make us dwell in safety. Only the LORD, who watches over us, who cares for us and saves us is worthy of our praise. So today we will gather as one to worship the only one who is worthy! INVOCATION:

* PRAYER OF CONFESSION: Lord, You have said where our trust should be placed. You have declared that is only in You where our hope and help is found. And yet, we allow our walk through life to throw us into confusion. We abandon the one who we are meant to follow. We start the race but look for every short cut along the way. We place our hope and give our devotion to temporal things that do not satisfy. Forgive us for the many ways we turn to other things and not to You. Have mercy on us and enable us to run the race well. Cast aside our sin and carry us to the finish line so that we may see Your face in this life and in glory.
